Our 5 Top Tips for Great LinkedIn and Social Media Videos

In today's digital age, video is king. And if you want to get ahead on social media, you need to start incorporating videos into your content strategy. But if you're not a professional videographer, how can you create high-quality videos that will engage your audience?

Don't worry, we've got you covered. Here are five tips for creating great LinkedIn and social media videos that will help you stand out from the competition:

 1. Keep it short and sweet.

People have short attention spans, so it's important to keep your videos under two minutes. If you can say what you need to say in less time, even better! The key is to get your point across quickly and concisely.

2. Invest in good equipment.

While you don't need to go out and buy the latest and greatest camera, you do need to make sure your video is clear and well-lit. If people can't see or hear what's going on, they're not going to stick around for long.

In addition to a good camera, you'll also need a microphone to ensure your audio is clear. There's nothing worse than watching a video with fuzzy sound.

3. Film in a quiet location.

This ties into tip #2 – if people can't hear what you're saying, they're not going to watch your video. So, film in a quiet location where there's minimal background noise.

4. Add captions.

According to Facebook, 85% of videos are watched without sound. That's a pretty big number! So be sure to add captions to your videos so people can follow along even if they're not able to turn up the volume.

5. Edit, edit, edit!

Once you've filmed your video, take the time to edit it before posting. This doesn't mean you need to add fancy graphics or anything like that – just trim out any dead space and make sure the final product is tight and engaging.

Creating great LinkedIn and social media videos don't have to be complicated or time-consuming – just follow these five simple tips and you'll be on your way!
